I'm a Software Engineer/Manager by day. Here is my resume.

Goals

I have some ambitious projects I want to acheive which I have documented along with my motivations.

Open Source Developer

While I write code for the commercial world to keep my family alive, I prefer to write code for worthy, interesting projects and give it away.

• I'm one of the core developers behind Community Map Builder, a browser based, standards compliant web mapping client.
• I started a Generic Software Developer's Guide.
• I've previously been one of the core developers of geotools, a java based, open standards, GIS toolkit.
• I helped start up active, a news publisher, group registrater and calendar which gained fame when it was used to drive the successful IndyMedia site.

Cycling Enthusiast

I spent plenty of time lobbying for better cycling conditions in Sydney. In particular, giving media interviews, organising publicity stunts, setting up web pages etc.

Writings

• I occasionally write things in my Blog.
• Critical Mass - Where is it now? A snapshot look at Critical Mass in 1997.
• Understanding Activists. Musings of the cross-over between activism and the open source movement. (I need to clean this up sometime).
• Understanding Activism. Explaining all the players who influence the activism game. (Cleanup required here too).

Family Man

I have two young boys and a beautiful wife.

Outdoors

I love the outdoors, including: bushwalking, canyoning, rock climbing, rogaining, mountain biking, and cycling to work.
